Urban Sketching at The Prado

It's not often you get a chance like this, working live from the Prado in Spain. To be able to spend time with  my daughter AND see the amazing exhibit El Bosco (as the Spanish refer to Hieronymous Bosch).

I filled a sketchbook of my trip, but this is one of my favorites. What you see is the incredible line of people waiting to get in. The day was hot and sunny, I used a micron pen in my moleskine book, and
painted later with a tin of watercolors I brought on the trip.

  1. Wonderful! For a second I thought I was looking at the wrong Urban Sketcher blog! Great sketch and please share more if you have time. I look forward to hearing about your trip sometime, too.

  2. Wow, Ruth, What a marvelous experience! Great sketch!

  3. Your sketch drew me into the excitement of those moments. Very nice.

  4. Thanks all, I'm adding a bit of paint to the sketchbook as I have time - I'll bring it sometime when we have a meet up to share.
