Next Sketch Event: Saturday, Dec. 16

The new Java Cat Coffee House turned out to be a great place to sketch. It's very cute with lots of tables ... and gelato! They were even kind enough to reserve a table for us. We also welcomed some new sketchers, and we hope to see them again.

Our next sketching event will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 16, at the Capitol building, 2 E. Main St. Join us!

We will meet at 1 and sketch until 2:50, when we have a "throw down" to look at everyone's sketches.

We welcome beginners as well as experienced sketchers to join us!

Sketch With Us On Sunday, Nov. 19

Sketchers of all levels of experience are invited draw with us from 10 a.m. to noon this Sunday at the Colectivo Coffee on the Square, 25 S. Pinckney St.

There are a number of parking garages in that area and there should be lots of parking places open.

Sketching in November

Urban Sketchers Madison has some fun locations planned for November:

Saturday, November 4, 1 to 3 p.m.
West Towne Mall. We'll meet in front of the indoor entrance to Von Maur. 

Sunday, Nov. 19, 10 a.m. to noon
Colectivo Coffee on the Square, 25 S. Pinckney Street

Whether you are new to sketching or an experienced artist, you will find a welcoming group!

Sketching at the State Capitol

 We were joined by some young, talented artists when we sketched at the Capitol on Sunday --proving that urban sketching is truly for everyone!

Join us for more sketching fun at 10 a.m. on Sunday, April 3, at Grace Coffee Co., 1824 Parmenter St., Middleton. I will arrive earlier to get a table, but I am hoping we will also sketch outside. Bring a chair if you have one!

Sketch with us on March 18

 Our intrepid group of sketchers welcomes everyone to draw with us from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 18, at the state Capitol. We will meet on the ground floor of the Rotunda.

Saturday, January 28, 1 to 3 p.m. at Grace Cafe, 1824 Parmenter St.
